Low Tide
Concarneau again, that wonderful Breton fishing town seven mites from Port Aven. The color arrangement is one of blues, greens and reds, all at their most brilliant, though here skilfully tuned into vibrant harmony by the artist. The bright colors are those of the hulls propped up in the low-tide. More subdued in tone are the hues of the sails, dull purples and extremely light tawny yellows. Beyond the boats is the encircling town of Concarneau.
