Before John Wayne, There Was Buck Jones

Before there was John Wayne, there was Buck Jones. It was said that Wayne admired Jones and his movies. I haven’t been able to track down the artists behind these movie posters and book covers yet. Anyone know who painted these?

And here’s my personal take on Buck Jones. This oil painting is 48 inches tall and 36 inches wide. Man, that hat!
