DCP 205: Final Cut Pro X 10.3 Has Arrived!

Chris Fenwick - who has over 30 years of experience as a professional video editor - talks with me about some of the exciting new features of FCP X 10.3. Here are a few of the new features mentioned:

  • Audio roles and audio lanes

  • The beautiful flat, darker interface

  • Creating your own workspaces

  • Roll trim on adjacent connected clips

  • Full screen timeline and browser modes when working dual screen

  • Custom Motion projects now included in FCP X libraries

  • Remove effects and attributes–finally!

  • Flow transition (did MotionVFX morphCut just get obsoleted?)

  • Wide gamut color (REC 2020)

  • SMB 3 network support enables library access on network-attached storage devices
