Ansel Adams - The Masterworks - At The Booth Western Art Museum (218)

Ansel Adams - The Masterworks, comes to the Booth Western Art Museum. It's an exhibition showcasing 30 photographs from an edition known as The Museum Set – images hand selected, printed, and signed by Adams himself. Exhibited together for the first time ever, these images are loaned from the personal collection of Virginia Adams Mayhew, Ansel’s granddaughter.

I had the privilege of being invited to a preview of the Ansel Adams - The Masterworks exhibit at the Booth Western Art Museum  before it officially opens Saturday, April 8, 2017. Marketing Director Tom Shinall and Curator of Photography Mary Margaret Cornwell were on hand during our sneak peek to tell us the fascinating story of the exhibit and the amazing back stories of the exquisite images on display. The Booth Museum has fully embraced photography as fine art - worthy to be displayed alongside the fine art paintings and sculptures on display at this beautiful museum - located in Catersville, Georgia.
